since you would be part of a car club or team do you get discounts at local retailers/shops for parts or service done? i wish there was a team or club local to me.

Unfortunalty no you have to be sponsered in order to get discounts, but some of us are sponsered, my friend Pual (the one with the supercharged civic) has about 14 sponsers.
