Oh man last night was the best. Lets strat at the beginning it was me with my stock 06 3i auto (took the air guard off, and i was autually able to change my top end to 135mph), and my buddy matt with his beat 03 eclispe GT with a AEM intake, we was bored as shit all day, just driving around and hanging out and shit, when we saw modded car in parking lots like at a gas station we went inside and started talking a whole bunch of shit just playin around we said things like "if any of yall wannabe racers think they got somethin then meet us on highway 95 around 12:00p.m" we got the occasional "what do you drive?" and we always respond being smartasses saying "yo mom", all day we did this just startin shit but not being serious, so finally 11:00p.m comes we gas up and head on 95, the highway is completly devoid of life at this time, so just sitting on the breakdown lane thinking that nobody would come so we get in our cars around 12:00 ish and decide to have a little race from here to Whitemarsh and back, not 10sec. do we get in our car we see just rows of cars lining up behind us coming off the ramp, we get out and realize that some are who we seen at some stores but the others we havent even seen them in Aberdeen, so we scout around assuming that we was being takin serious when we said all that stuff finally some guy walks up to us and says "are you the street punks that talkin all that shit" we looked at each other and nodded to the 30 ish year old guy driving the skyblue honda accord, then he said "you ready?", we said "fuck yeah" and proceeded to tell everybody where the start and finish were and told them to listen for the forth horn to sound also expalined a few rules we said that if somebody was being followed by the cops that they were to disband from the race and take alternate routes to escape another one is we know this sounds gay but if somebody has a faster car then let them pass we cant have any deaths and some guy with his red crx said "then you guys should start behind me" and finally no NOS cuz it would be a waste there is no money in this its just for thrills, then we said that those were the rules no gloating until the race is done we told everybody to get in there cars but dont rev so you car hear the horn, when i got in mine it happened i got that feeling my hands were sweating my heart quickened and all i could here was dead silence, i raised my sweaty palm to the steering wheel pressed it once, twice, a third waited and pressed it for the last time, all i could hear was tires squealing, engines roaring and turbos and superchargers going off, there must had been at least 20 or more cars all of us on the three lane highway just flyin down a empty highway, and all i saw was headlights of all colors, some assholes had their highs on and others with big egos had their hazrads on when they pulled ahead (for those who dont know turning on your hazrads in a race indicates that you are the winner) a 12 mile race man it was intense cars flyin by me (i dont know where the hell matt was) i passed few, then it got real dangerous when we hit 695 there were civilian cars this is the part where i accel in cuttin though traffic but not cutting people off as some racers did and ended up being held up, i ended up from what i could tell fifth on the way to the light where we turn around and head back (matt was surprisingly behind me) we made a left at the light and proceeded back onto 695 then it became a four lane, still more non racers on the street i again showed my true potential by geting though cars w/o cutting them off (yes i did use my turn signal)m finally we were back on 95 heading toward our final destination still keeping my position (matt had gotten caught in traffic) after what seemed like forever our exit came up and the finish line was in the Mars parking lot i finished a really surprising 5th and my buddy matt finished 8th soon after more cars started pulling making excuses like " my engine overheated" and stuff like that, what seemed to be like a endless stream of cars pulling in we got out and started chatting and stuff, not 10min after the last car pulled in like a fleet of cops come we all high tail it to our cars and blast outta there me and my bud pull in somebodies driveway and waited for a while, then we decided to drive past and see if anybody got caught, there were a few the cops had all the entrances and exits blocked off and had laid down spike strips, so at 4:27ish a.m me and matt head back to his house to chill out. THE END (Please reply)

sounds like a nice little race. how exactly did you take the air guard off your car. Also, have you taken the lower hose off the stock intake box, to open it up a little more. It looks like Mazda made a modified CAI on the 3 by placing the air box lower and having the hose go down closer to the ground, I just want to maximize the amount of air being pulled in.
