I just did the grounding tip today and I have no rough idle or hesitation. Runs a lot better now than it did before.

For everyone that has seen the ground wire ''fix'' work, what states are you in? Are you all in high humidity states, very dry states, a mix?

I''''m in Indiana. Somewhat high humidity in the summer, and horrible snow in the winter (mainly lake effect snow).

what could you have possibly done to not be able to go back Richard? j/k :) You should come back here, at least I would know one cool Mazda owner in Indiana.

capernicus I know i''m a little late on this since i read this on the 2nd page but I''ve had no problem shifting to second in at 70mph...I have an 04 2.0 slap and (topping out) 1st.....38-40mph (7200 rpm, basically the limitor) 2nd.....76-80mph (7100K) 3rd.....118mph (max) (~6800K) 4th....overdrive lol. you stay maxed out but only run around 4500 rpm''s...

We redline at 6500, on the atx''s anyway, I think the TQ curve, flat out is around 4500 rmp, However, if you shift at redline, I notice you drop down to about 3800-4000 which is blow your max tq line. however, shifting around 7000 or a little less will drop you down at 4500rpm''s so you are ALWAYS max tq, EXCEPT the split second your car falls off some tq extremely high end like around 7k

I''m about to go out and do this in the morning but I live in missouri. hotter than hell summers with excessive humidity warnings and generally bad breathing in general. So i''ll have to see about these rust spots. This is the reason why turbo owners HATE missouri and racing at Gateway, Nights in missouri, weather wise, suxorz. 75%+ pretty much ALL the time with mid 70''s lows and high 90''s.. Basically I went to visit some friends in savannah GA and felt like I never left St.Louis, except for my accent
