I took my bages off with a heat gun then used a high speed buffer on the remaining gunk, and then applied the "Atenza" Badges I ordered online just for a different look.
I tried to take the Mazda emblem off the trunk, but it left two holes so I put it back on till I can get the holes filled properly.

I debaged my mazda and I thought it was really easy. I just took fishing wire and removed the badge. I then sprayed bumber sticker removal spary to make it clean. Looks as if the car came that way. Hey. Anyone know how to reupolster the side door panel inserts. The cloth is so uncomfortable on your arm. Any suggestion would be great thanks.

I started to pull of my ear badges but it think I hit the little prongs that hold the badge on....If I pull of the rear badges, am I going to have little wholes from what was holding them on besides the glue??? Wouldn't the holes rust or cause water to get in the trunck (atleast a little bit)?

Hello
I Just bought an '06 M6I and I will be debadging it later today. Are there marker holes under the "Mazda" or just the flying M on the new 6's? I planned on leaving the flying M but I was going to take off the "mazda 6" and my local dealers badge. I would hate to take off the mada and have holes left over. Just for the record I use plastic coated fishing line like floss to cut the tape and then pick the leftover tape off with my fingernails and then use goo-gone to remove the leftover residue. I have done this on every car I have owned for the last fre years and it is very easy and takes only about 30 minutes after some practice with no scratches at all.

Well Im not a man of patience so I went ahead and debadged the 6. Just in case anyone else is wondering, the 2006 m6i does not have marker holes under the "mazda". I assume that it does under the flying m because most symbols of that nature do. But I didnt take mine off. heres what I did:

OK so im having problems with the images so I dont know if it will come out right, if not I apologiza in advance...

First I parked the beauty and took my first pictures

Then I took about a foot of plastic coated fishing likne and used it like dental floss to saw the foam through which left me with black foam on the car

Then I used my thumbs to scrape the foam off

Then I used Goo-Gone or Goof-off, its the same stuff on a paper towel of terry cloth and took off the residue. The key here is to take all of the foam off first because the googone makes that stuff nasty, so you want to only have clear glue residue when you use this stuff.

then wipe her down with some water or what not because you dont want to let that chemical sit on your car.

on the dealer badge, it is vinyl like pin stripes to it peels right off and then I used some goo gone to get rid of the residue.

My car came with 1 badge (the word Mazda) and it doesn't come off without leaving holes. The rest are decals. I want to replace my "Turbo" decals with the cursive Porsche "turbo" badges. And the front "Mazda" decal with the Efini badge.

That would look very kickass if you did that... I know exactly what you are talking about! Good thinking!
