2004 Mazda 3 4DR Sedan

Girlfriends car who lives out of town.  Left side low beam doesn''t work.  She took the car to Autozone and said the guy spent two hours and replaced the low beam bulb with two different bulbs with no success.

She contacted her local Mazda dealership and they said they would charge a minimum of $80 to remove the headlight assembly and start to evaluate the problem.  I have googled this topic and am coming up empty.  I am not a mechanic, but I can replace a bulb or a voltage regulator.  I did find a topic where someone said you are not supposed to touch the bulb with human hands, but wouldn''t the guy at Autozone know that?

Any suggestions?  I can''t believe a single headlight bulb could be this much of a problem. But what do I know!

Thanks.

Have you checked all the fuses/relays?  I don''t think there are separate ones for the left/right sides, but it''s possible.  Also have you used a multimeter to confirm that you''re indeed getting power to the lamp?

Fuse 61 is the Low Beam left, 15A I would check that before I took it to the Dealer. It is in the inside Fuse Box.
