I have a 2007 Mazda3 - Hatchback, manual transmission, and it is making a terrible "clunking" noise when under 15 mph. To explain: When I am shifting from first to second gear, as soon as my foot hits the clutch, give it a few seconds and it makes a clunk. Took it into the shop and first they said they couldn''t find anything wrong. Then they said it only made the "clunk" when the DSC (Traction control) was turned on. Finally after being at Mazda for three days, they said they did hear the noise and that it was nothing wrong. They said that all Mazda3''s make that noise. They even said they took out a brand new one and it made the noise also. Apparently the ABS pump (as they determined) is what is making the noise. Any help or assistance would be great!!
