Hey i''m new to the forum and i have a 1.5L DOHC ''95 Protege LX and i want to upgrade my air intake. It''s all stock and i can''t find an intake that is compatible. There are a bunch of sensors on the stock intake and i am wondering if they are necessary and if i were to make an upgrade would they transfer over to the new one. any info would be highly appreciated!

all of the stock sensors are necessary and they will transfer over to a new intake. it is difficult to find an intake for a 1.5, but you will just have to keep looking.

... Or build one.  That''''s my best suggestion and the parts are available, you just have to do the research.

remove the whole box as well and leave a filter and the sensor.

that is the easiest way to do it. just put a cone filter on the end of the MAF.
