Plese help me!

I have a 1985 626 GC with 2.0 double carb which went down and it isi imposible for me to fine another engine only from a 626 GD.
So now I''m wondering if I could put in an engine from a 626 GD, here in Croatia there is no mechanic who could tell me if is that possible.
Most disquiet thing to me are engine mounting - would the fit to the same place from a GC to GD engine?
Are trasmissions same, water pumps, any differnces in cluch?

Sorry for my bad english it''s been a long tine that i had to wrote something in english
