I have a 1998 Mazda B2500 pickup that blows hot air all the time. When the AC is off it still blows hot air out of the floor vents. The AC has three knobs on it,. Left is the fan control which work fine, middle is the Temp control and right is the function knob. The AC seems to be working because i can hear it kicking in but the temp control knob does not change the temp. Its as if the "flapper" is stuck open on HOT!! can anyone help??

Find a repair manual if you don''t already have one, and look up the procedure for removing the climate control head (aka heater control or a/c control). There should be one or more cables coming out of the back of it (attached to linkage on the control head), leading off to the linkage on the vent box. If you''re saying that even when it''s bitter cold outside, and you turn the dial all the way to the coldest setting, and when the motor is warm, the vents still blow hot air, then basically you''re looking at visual tracing starting at the back of the control head, going back all the way to the linkage on the vent box that controls the temperature flap. If you''re lucky, it''s just the control head or the cable, or something just got disconnected. Hopefully there''s nothing broken on the vent box itself. Good luck!
