Mazda is running with Check engine light on. 2001 tribute runs rough. While driving car RPM drop off and car seems to studder. If you pump peddle car recovers but if you don''t it is like its stalling. Any advise? RPMs drop off and I have tried severl fixes. O2 sensors Plugs wires EGR nothing seems to help. Now I''ve heard coil???? anyone have any suggestions? Thanks you. When I say studder its like a hesitation in the engine. I did have a shudder in the transmission when I got it but a flush and refill got rid of this problem. HELP this is driving me crazy

Get the Engine Light decoded before you start randomly replacing parts. AutoZone will do it for free. I purchased a CarChip which does that a lot more. The decoded error will steer you (and the members of this forum) to a more precise diagnosis.

Thanks but no codes are coming up! This has been a pain in the butt for me. I hate fixing by trial and ERROR...It gets expensive. Any help would be appreciated

Also wanted to mention there is a hesitation when starting from stop. If you pump the gas a bit this helps. Which part place in Canada will check the codes for you? I''m in Toronto
