Okay, at first I thought it was just me, or some scientific effect, that made my music sound louder when I got on the expressway...but now I''m really starting to think it''s my car. The sound gets about 3 or 4 levels louder when I drive over 50mph, and it does so abruptly, not gradually...I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or if I''m just crazy!

If you push the lower right knob in you will see ALC (Automatic Level Control) and it can be set for 1,2,3 or off.
It is also listed on 6-29 in the 2008 Manual

In his OP Kevin asked if he was hearing things or if he was crazy. I figure that we''re all nuts anyway so I was just reassuring him of that in my own little way, of course.

Does he hear the voices also Richard

Sorry for getting of track, I think it should have gone up to 5, cause with all the windows down 3 is not enough and I still have to hit the button on the Steering wheel once or twice after I get going

11!! Most amp-li-fiers only go to ten, but this one is one louder. This one goes to 11!!
