I have a 2005 mazda6 i. I have lost partial function of the radio and hvac controls. It seems like I need a new circuit board, the power button/volume control is not working for the radio, but the presets do. the blower, temp, and settings knobs work, but the three buttons for a/c, air, and rear deforoster don''t. The steering wheel controls work for the radio/cd, but I can''t eject the cd that is in. Any advice? The board from the dealer is $517.00!!

you could get one from a salvage yard which could inculde the audio unit & cd player too. this board is easily damaged if hit or bent in any way. so be careful when removing & installing the radio. typically the information display also goes on te fritz when the board goes bad also.

Thanks, the information display is partialy gone, too. The radio power knob took a direct hit from my knee, probably what caused this. The board isn''t cracked, but it did bend a little.
