I put this in the tech forum, but no reply. Can someone please help? A friend of mine put E85 in her 2001 Cavalier twice, and now of course her car is running terrible. It will not run on 87 octane. It will run on premium, but it still runs a little rough. The plugs and wires were changed, and STP injector cleaner has been added twice. It still runs terribly. I am guessing that the injectors, and/or valves are gummed up with excess ethanol. I had her run a few tanks of premium in hopes that it would burn it out, but no dice. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem? Or does anyone think there might be another problem I haven''''t thought of?

Completely drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel. See Point #3 in the attached link http://www.driveflexfuel.com/faq.php Maybe change out your fuel filter.
