Hi all. Will be using a '05 duratec/mzr 2.0l motor from a mazda 3 in a Clubbie. My motor does not have VVT. It will be used for street and track and I am chasing approx 280hp (at the crank) - it does need to be (reasonably) reliable!!. I am interested in detailed specs from anyone has who has built a similar motor. Can anyone assist?

Am also interested in any weak points that have surfaced following modifying these motors, eg rods (which will be replaced anyway -just a known weak point in these motors beyond approx 7000rpm), timing chains, chain tensioners, oiling, etc.

cheers
Ian
