My pitman arm is about 1/2 to 3/4 inch out of steering gear housing and has leaked.
Question ? should I just tighten back onto the lower end of the sector shaft ? What other problem may this indicate ? Any one have any experiance with this ?  Mazda 1993 B2600i 4x4

Did you ever get this issue resolved? Was the box bad and in need of replacement?
I saw this post a while ago, but wasn't quite sure how to answer it.

to virgin 1 unfortunately no one has responded.  I''ll be posting my experiences with the gas tank & fuel sending unit w pics. i now am ready to undertake this pitman arm problem. After the preceding difficulty this should go ok . I''m more than a little disappointed in the respondents in this web site. No one seems to have anything to share.

I am sorry about that.  I guess there haven''t been too many truck members on recently or do not know how to answer your question.  Do you have any pics of the situation?
Not being too familair w/the SB layout on the trucks can only guess.  Is the sector shaft loose in the box too or is it just the pitman arm itself that has come loose or worn and maybe worked itself down the end of the sector?  Could the sector be broken inside the box?
