How much HP will a stock rear end take? - 5/1/2008 9:56:36 AM    Gordon   Posts: 9 Joined: 5/1/2008 Status: offline I picked up a nice little 89 B2200, ext cab short box.  The 2.2L motor is shot though so I'm gonna swap it out to a Chevy 327 with a 2 speed powerglide (just cause I have it here). My question is, how much power will the stock rear end take before it grenades? I've read a few posts about guys using ford 302's so I would imagine it'll take 300hp or so before it blows up.
