I took my 05 Tribute V6 to the dealer this past week. They fixed all problems except 1 – I have an oil or coolant leak (I think its oil) on the driver side of the engine right on top of the housing that the lower pulley is connected to. I think it’s a water pump. You can see it from the top right under the valve cover. The dealer told me and I checked with Mazda that oil slippage is not under warranty. Only if the oil is gushing out to the floor can they warranty it. I think this is ridicules. My truck now has 4500 mil I want it fixed. Does anyone have any idea on what to do with my situation?
. If this is the way Mazda treats their customers this will be my last Mazda

You have to read the warranty to see what is excluded. Then, talk with everyone possible, including the Mazda regional manager. If that fails, file a Small Claims lawsuit. Sometimes it's cheaper for the company to fix the problem than it is for them to defend the lawsuit. In most states, if you sue a corporation, they have to hire an attorney to represent them.
