It's not the easiest thing in the world, but I installed the entire body kit on my 3.

If you buy the factory body kit. it comes with templates that you tape onto the car to get the holes properly positioned.

Take your time and measure a ton of times before you start drilling.

I'd recommend using a spring loaded center-punch and a step drill. That will give you the cleanest holes.

Deburr the holes so the plastic x-mas trees will fully engage, and make sure to paint the raw edges inside the holes so they don't rust.
