Does anyone know if the Mazda 5 hood is steel or aluminum? I picked up numerous stone chips this winter and I'm concerned about developing a rust problem.

Thanks in advance!

I have the 2008 model, and am not sure of the material used for the hood.  It seems more like a plastic than a metal.  I had a related question, since I have recently noticed some of the same rock chips.

What are some online vendors for purchasing a vinyl bra to cover the front?  I looked last night and only found one: Mazdagear.com.  Is this a reputable site?  Are they a licensed Mazda reseller?  And, they claim to have a bra for the 08, but I would hate to order one only to find the cutouts for the foglights, etc. were the wrong shape (since the 06-07 has a slightly different front than the 08).

I guess I'll go ahead and contact the site with the above questions, and will post back what I find out.
