Hi folks...my '04 2.0L 4x4 with 35000m on the clok
seems to get an 'air escaping' noise when i release the footbrake,
like a high pitched whistle. If i spray the 'plunger' at the bak of the
foot peddle with WD40 it goes away for a few weeks.....any ideas?

Same problem with us when we got it 3 yrs old, 64 k. Leaky brake booster. Replace it for $400 or turn up the radio. I rotated the rubber seal, went away for 3 months, back again, time to rotate it more.
