This is something that'll make any car guy smile...but especially me, since I own a Chevy too. It's not surprising though. Chevy pickups ftw.

I've heard of car clubs exclusively for drivers with high mileage on their cars - 500K, 1 million, etc...

I bet he gets a new truck from G.M. There are rumours that both Shell and G.M. want a look at that engine.

It's definitely not that un-common for diesels to hit that kind of mileage.  Here's an E-250 Van example.

Many people use these as work trucks (Expeditor, vehicle delivery, etc.) and put on incredible mileage on a yearly basis (100K+)

If you maintain them properly, they'll last a lifetime.

This is true - a friend of mine has a '96 F250 4x4 Turbodiesel with about 260K so far.

This is my friend's 99 F-350 Turbo Diesel....it's getting close to 300K already.

10" of lift and 37" tires....
