hey gang... joined to try to get a better hold on this rotary powered slingshot... been a customizer and tuner for years, anything from 50s chevys to newer Hondas and anything in between. Totally freaked out about the prices for RX8 goodies, so i'm making my own... wanting to see what other people have done and what works, what doesnt.... car is a little boring looking but soon  it will break the mould...

Oh, I don't know about that.  Velo Red (Mica) has been a fav of mine for a while now... certainly better than Mazda current red offering ("True" Red.)

And... WELCOME to the Forum!!  C'mon in!  The water's fine!!!

I work at a body shop for a Lincoln dealer... Mazda does have a killer 3 stage paint lineup. thinking about shooting my 62 impala in that Spicy orange they used on the mazdaspeed proteges... very close to kandy with the flip they offer in the sun!

I know what nearly everybody, including me, says about Spicy Orange Mica once they've seen it in person;  "Mmmmm, SPICY!!!"
I love that color!! Why don't they offer the Speed3 in that damned color!!!  STUPIDDdddd!!
Velocity Red is also a very nice color though, and may just look better on your 8 than the Spicy would?  I'm having a little trouble picturing it..... (Friday brain-fart!?)
The 8's look REALLY good in Crystal WhiteWater Pearl too, but you definitely have to see those in person.  Pics just don't do them justice.
