+1. Keep it running for practical purposes only, then take your saved cash a few years from now - spend it on a car you WANT, whatever the make. If it's a Mazdaspeed3, Mazdaspeed MX-5, or other Mazda....great. If not, it's fine - take your pick of the market at the time. Usually, a guy's first few cars are simple commuter, A-B cars; don't get bummed out over this one. Maintain it decently, and the car will run 'till you drive it into the ground. Part of progressing through life is to know when to pass on a hand, and play with your chips later. Trust me, you won't regret it.
