mazdamx6gt -> 1988 mx6 gt won't run (1/26/2008 9:40:01 AM)

My 1988 mx6 gt will start, but chugs and dies. I have checked spark ( lots ) and replaced the fuel pump, plugs, wires,air flow meter,igniter,and even the distributor and cap but no go. All of the turbo hoses are in excellent shape ( some of them new ). This all started with a thermostat job I did on the car and I wondered if I got something wet that was not supposed to get wet. I finally had the car towed to the local dealer and even they are stumped . Any suggestions on this will be great. THANKS
