1. I had found a tutorial on how to unhook the Satellite radio hookup and reconnect the MP3 Player port, I can no longer find it, does anyone have a link?
2. My Mazda3s always starts up, but on some days, especially really cold ones, you have to crank it for a few seconds before it turns on, is this normal on Mazda's, its done this from the beginning, I am at 4,000 miles now.

Thank you.

Try THIS walkthrough.  Use steps 1-4 to get the HU out, unplug the satellite plug and then look around for the ACI plug.  Sometimes they tuck it up behind a panel or zip tie it to another harness.  It's there somewhere though.  I will add for step one that the far right side of the dash strip is held on by a hook which has to slide left.  I usually disengage the 3 or 4 clips between the LCD and the hook and then gently flex the strip to get the hook clear.  Just FYI.

Double check to make sure the battery is topped off with distilled water.

thx for the help.  yes u can have both satellite and aux port, but you need a extra part which is like 150 bucks.  i don't use the satellite radio, so no point in investing in the part.  its great how the dealership bragged about the aux port, but didn't bother telling me its disabled cause they decided to bundle satellite radio.

Actually the switchbox will cost you $113 from www.onlinemazdaparts.com..... or really from anywhere aside from a dealer.

T'was just an opportunity to throw in that corny old joke.  I'd probably do the same if I were in the market... and it would fit my '04, which it wouldn't, of course.

And yea, spots, I saw your "comment" too.  ,
