Hi i am new to Mazda,,,I was looking at the Mazda 3 but the the best price was at invoice at $16,000 and MSRP was $16,880 with Standard Trans power windows and their basic engine but No Rebates.....
Went home and called another dealer and he new a bit more and talked me into a 2006 Black 6i Standard Trans and Basic engine and it looked like a new nice car.Even with the basic engine...I think thats the same engine as the upgrade of the Mazda 3?(I heard Black is a hard color to come by}
Just wondering I heard that people had trouble with their older 6s and in 2005 the newer 6s came out and had a few problems and they say they even upgraded the 2006s a tad from the 05s?
Msrp was $19,880
Price I got was $17,000,,,thats with a $1000 rebate and $500 Mazda Loan rebate.....And i guess $1,380 brings it close to invoice?
Just wondering did a get a good deal on the 2006?...Thanks and hope to learn a bit more from this site...JohnnyT

Sounds like you did ok on the price. Especially since you got the 06. I came accross a great deal on an 05 mazda6i. Basically the same car you have but a different color and one year older. I was fortunate and got mine for $15k brand new, but that is a very rare occurance.

That is a heck of a deal! I paid in the 20s for my 03' Mazda6. Hopefully to ward off any doubts you may have, I have not had any problems with mine. I have heard nothing but good things about these cars from everyone that I have talked to that owns one. Definitely good choice!
