Does anyone know how these VIN check companies are able to obtain the information so quick?  I would prefer doing it myself.  I've already sent emails to my state's DMV.  I wonder what they will say?

Insurance companies would be my best guess.  They are ALWAYS looking to increase the bottom line so I would guess they contract to sell the info to these VIN companies as you call them.

I also call a Mazda a Mazda, a Ford a Ford, etc.  Do I need to continue, hmmmm?

Hey... settle down there sparky.  I was only acknowledging your question, and I did try to answer your question w/my best educated guess.  No smart-ass comments were intended, or are necessary in return.

We have a helpful and friendly forum here, and I for one would like to keep it that way.  OK?
