ah my bad, its a 08 sedan, and i'm pretty sure the dimensions are different from the 07, cause the 07 foglights i tried were too small.
sorry for not being clear earlier, i'd appreciate any help finding cool foglilights ;)

Those look kinda' cheesy, imo.
The bulb is the back reflector.  If someone where to replace it w/a regular halogen bulb w/o the coating, they could be dangerous and deadly to oncoming traffic.

My Fog lights bulbs are the same on my 3 and my F150, both have a coating on the tip (9006 in the 3 and H1 in the F150)
BTW Those look just like the stock Mazda3i's fog lights.

I think they look "similar" but the '07-'08's do have the rectangular fogs OE.
Sorry, I just think that these just look like a cheap copy of the '04-'06's, which as fogs leave much to be desired anyway.  I'm glad I have them vs nothing, but they do not have the best pattern or output I've seen or owned in a fog light.

What will you do if a bulb burns out in one of your others?  Is there a source for bulbs w/the tip coated?

55w bulbs are considered low beam bulbs, so the replacement ones are coated frrom the factory unless the light has a center over the end of the bulb

Actual pic of the Fog light for an 08 M3i from the Mazda parts site at Nelson Mazda

BTW I have Silverstar Ultras in all my head and fog lights on the M3, both the H7 and the 9006 bulbs had the tip coated, the 9005 high beams did not.

Hmmm.  So they are still using the round fogs for the dealer installed 3i models?
Here's what an '07 3S/T sedan w/factory fogs looks like....

There is the different between the bumpers, look at the top of the light on the the one you posted and the top of mine.

The gap at the top is covered by whatlooks like 1/2 inch more black plastic

It is a rental, my wife got rear ended and her Explorer is at the body shop getting a new rear bumper.

The other big difference is where the hood and the bumper come together also Richard.
