Culprit- 1996 Mazda Miata, 1.8l DOHC. Manual Trans.

Intermittent spark on cylinders 1 and 4, good consistant spark on cylinders 2 and 3. 1 and 4 share the same coil, so I figured that was the problem, replaced coil pack, no luck. What's the most common thing that I should look at before throwing out more guesses on it?
