Hey guys, first time poster. My dad has a 95 MPV that has an odd shift problem. At random times the trans will constantly up/down shift from overdrive to third and back & forth. If he sets the trans into hold mode, this is alleviated. At the same time the check engine light is coming on. I'm more experienced with Fords, and don't know anything about the Mazdas. Where would i need to look to check for codes? Is there a "simple" fix? Any ideas are appreciated... i really need to get this fixed.

Anybody got any ideas? Not trying to sound impatient, but i'd like to get it fixed before it really screws up.

hi there seems that you have a low presure on your 3rd to 4th gear.....check your tcm..(transmission control module)....or you may need to rebuilt your transmission....[image]http://www.mazdaforum.com/micons/m8.gif[/image]
