Hi everybody, It's so strange but it seems the ambient sensor (AMB button on the cockpit) of my Mazda 5 2.0 TD is quite crazy! It keeps telling me that inside the car there are 2 degrees while taking the same measure with a mercury thermometer (it never fails) it says there are 10. Is there a way to reset this sensor ? What's wrong ? Many thanks to all of you. -- Riccardo Santato

Hi Riccardo, I think the Ambient tempurature is reading the EXTERNAL temperature, as an indication of how warm (or cold) it is outside the car. So there is no way of reading the actual temperature inside the car, only the target temperature you have set the air-con to reach, and the external temp. I have found the Amb setting to be very accurate. Hope this helps you. Dave.
