Hey, "If you ain't laughin', you ain't livin'." I don't take much seriously anymore, nor do I say anything seriously online. Way I figure it, guys are always gonna chide each other about their cars...so why not have some fun and be imaginative, you know?

my brother had a 2004 corolla S and he got it about 2 months before i got my 2004 Mazda3 S and when he drove mine he turned sold his car, lost about 3,000 then went and bought a Mazda3 S it's rediculous how nice it handles. the price is amazing for what you get it's a very safe car, i know, mines been hit 3 times. (and no, none of them where my fault) *safety is a very very important thing for me, after loosing my best friend in a car accident i wouldn't buy a car that wasn't safe. i never want to see anyone go through what my family did so when i bought my car the first thing i looked at was safety features... corolla charged 2,000 for side impact airbags, as apposed to mazda who paired it with ABS breaks for around.. 600.00 i think...* i think mazda3 is definally a lot nicer then anything in it's class and price range. it's got looks, gooooood looks, safety, efficency (sp?), and best of all... i could pay mine off before i turned 50! i have friends who'll be paying off their cars for 8 years and by that time their FORD will be broken... peace Stephanie

There's no comparing the 3 to a Corolla. Or a Mazda to a Toyota, imo. The similarities end at overall size and number of cylinders.

I guess then that you don't read Peter Egan's column in Road & Track. He traded a Mini S for one, and says it's an OK grocery getter, but boring as hell.
