SmAA #1: I just pay the going rate. It's the only choice I have. SmAA #2: Ah, $28-$34 depending on how much fits in the tank. OK, 'nough w/the smartassed answers: Prices have been jumping up and down around here for months now, but the last time I bought 87 @ my favorite Shell station it was $2.999. Before that, $2.959, but now it's dropped a bit to $2.919. I don't buy Citco for political reasons, but the local station here has 87 for $2.859.

I don't buy Citgo either...but their gas sucks anyway, In my experience, the best 87 around here is Sunoco, followed closely by Shell. BP is alright, but expensive ($3.39 the last time I passed by).

Amoco used to be excellent too and one of the few that offered lead free 95 (96?) oct for a long time. But I haven't seen an Amoco station for several years now. I wonder if they got bought out?
