I meant if the unibody took a hit, it may need straightening and that's something you simply can't do in your back yard.  Certainly the strut assem and lower susp components will have to be replaced also... if they were involved and it looks like they were.

My 2004 3S with 59K miles recently started vibrating- shuddering after hitting bumps in the road over 35 mph.
The right front strut broke. The local garage said this is fairly commonplace. Two front struts will be replaced next week cost approx. $650 + labor.  All local suppliers were out of stock except Mazda, which had to order the struts.
Any others out there with similar experiences?

^thread jack - did you try looking into getting KYB GR2's instead of going back to OE struts?
