New guy here and in need of help. I did a search but did not come up with anything.

I have a 2000 B4000. Recently it has developed a delay in starting. Has to crank over 4-5 times, then will start and run, but will not idle. Turn it off and then it would start okay. But now it has gotten where it will not idle, have to keep foot on throtle to keep the rev's up when stopped. And to day it got where it will crank and crank for quite awhile before it finaly starts.

It has 128,000 miles on it. I replaced the plugs and wires at 100,000. Also fuel filter.

Any suggestions of where to start would be greatly appreciated.

How is the fuel pressure. Sounds like maybe fuel pressure and volume are dropping off after sitting for awhile although that does not necessarily explain the no idle condition. Should be around 65psi and not drop by more than 5-10 after sitting for a couple of hours. How does the truck run during normal driving and has the CEL been on?
