There is no MS3 sedan.  Mazda wouldn't do that since it would directly compete with the MS6.... even though that's being discontinued.  There are pics floating around of a 3 sedan with a mazdaspeed body kit on it.  I'm pretty sure that came out before the MS3 though.  It's not turboed, so it's not a real speed3.

Slow sales and tradition, probably.  I've been hearing that dealers are nearly giving away the Speed6 to get them off their floor plans.  But also, Mazda has a history of producing a limited model for a limited number of years... usually no more than 3 years.
By the time I'm ready for a Speed3, they will be gone.        Enjoy it while ya' can, SPeeDy!

Pics won't work on that site for me and I am not signing up for an account just to see the photos.

Are they different from the ones posted on the first page here?
If theyare different can someone post them up please?

The price of fuel is obviously huge in all of this.  The MS3 and MS6 suck fuel.  A honked up, gas sucking 2.3 is not marketable when fuel is over $3/gallon.  For the 2007 model year, the MS6 is listed with fuel economy of 19/25.  The MS3 is 20/28 per EPA.  With the new testing for 2008, these numbers will be even worse.

Anything that cannot manage at least 30 MPG EPA on the highway is toast.  A city number of 19 or 20 is also sufficiently low to scare people away.

I know at least one other that claims to regularly beat the EPA estimate w/a Speed3... and he AutoX's it regularly too.

I am not beating it on mine for the 07 ratings, but I am beating the 08 ratings by about 1 MPG LOL

I also tend to beat the EPA numbers, especially if I can get on the highway and set the cruise control.

Point remains that most buyers consider the EPA numbers (I know I did) when deciding.  When the Civic and Corolla can put out better EPA numbers, it certainly helps their marketing.  I decided I preferred the M3s handling and looks enough to choose it despite the inferior EPA numbers, but not everyone will make that choice.
