I started our little Protege after it was stored for the summer.The alternator was off the car and just back from being rebuilt.I put it in gear to drive it in to the garage to reinstall the alternator and it went 10 feet and died.It cranks fine,the plastic cap for the alternator was on the loose wire so I am fairly sure this never shorted out to ground.There is fuel spraying from the injectors when you remove the rail from the manifold.Rotor button and cap clean and dry inside and out.Compression 145 psi all cylinders.Spark is strong and blue,has four new plugs.Cams are turning and looking through oil filler hole camchain seems ok.I also have removed and inspected every fuse inside and out of vehicle.I am stumped! It wont even backfire or sputter,its just like the plug wires are not hooked up.Any help appreciated.
