Hi All, My mazda will not idle when cold and I was told this was probably a choke problem. Any ideas on what to do? Looks like it still has the original diaphram and electric heater(?). Thanks for the help.

I don't recommend taking components off of it unless you know exaclty what they do. You may have a vacuum leak, and with a truck of that age, many of the rubber hoses may be deteriorating. If it runs good after it's warm, then it may well be a faulty choke. If you provide me with the last 8 digits of your VIN, I will see if there are any replacement parts available that could help you. Mazda may not have parts for that truck anymore, and then a rebuild by a carburetor shop may be a better idea. Start by checking all of the vacuum lines, then look for something on the carb. -Justin
