vision1994 -> What do I need to play Ipod thru aux in console? (11/14/2007 7:48:19 PM)
Hi,
What do I need to play Ipod thru aux in console? Another words, do I need that 30 pin connector on one end and headphone jack on the other?
Thanks, vision1994

For basic playback, you just need a cord with a 3.5mm headphone plug on each end.

I have same problem, my dealer said I need to purchase the 30 pin cord with jack on other end. Guy at radio Shack said dealer is wrong a standard 3.5mm x 3.5mm male to male should work, but it doesnt. My media button does nothing when I push it. What did you figure out? Thanks

Press your media button untill you see "aux" on the readout... from there... make sure the volume is up on both the car stereo and on your ipod... you do NOT need the 30 pin connector... all you need is the male to male as mentioned...

Just got my 08 CX-9 last night. Couldn't sleep so decided to check out all the features on the car. Plugged in my iPod with a 3.5mm plug. Didn't work at first. Started reading the manual, the quick tips guide....nothing. For some reason, something must have clicked in or I must have hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and reset something but it started working...

What options do you have? Do you have Navi, Bose, and/or Sirius? There are some incompatibilities that may not allow you to use the Aux port. I have Navi and Sirius and have not been able to get my Auz to work. The dealership told me that even the specil module would not work.
