Is it a different model intake for the 2.3 engine than the 2.0... I have a K&N typhoon intake for my 2.0 but was wondering if i could use the same intake for a 2.3?

k & n has the same part numbers listen for both the 2.0 liter engine and the 2.3 liter engine.
it would make sense then that your typhoon intake would be compatable with both engines.

Since the bore on both engines is the same and only the stroke on the 2.3 is longer, I don't see why any manufacturer would list different #'s for the 2 engines.  The flow velocity should be (roughly) the same only a longer time period for the 2.3 than the 2.0 w/the shorter stroke.  Plus I'm sure the science on these is not rocket-science exact.
Yet some manufacturer's do show different #'s for the engine's?  Most don't, I know.

Thats good... would it fit the speed3 version? or is the factory mazda intake the only way to go if trying to put CAI on a speed3?

i dont know if it would matter much in ways of how expensive it was although it doesnt work. but say it would work, wouldnt it be much cheaper to get a new K&N then to put the mazdaspeed3 one in. unless you get the mazdaspeed3 ones cheap... an d im not thinking they are cheap
