I have a 2000 MPV 104K Miles. Bought it about a year ago no major complaints. Had Exhaust Leak and Loud Hummm.

First I pulled down the Front  (I think thats called Left) Exhaust Manifold and found it not crack but one inlet completly broke off from the assembly. I need a replacment. I found a new one, but $$$$$ Looking for a used. Anyone have any ideas.

Second. The Van has a Loud Hum almost like a bearing or bad pump. It only comes on when the outside air is less than 60 degrees f. Never made a peep all summer the first night it dropped below 60 when we started it was right back. Not consistant though. Seems to happen at Start cold engine. I can make it come and go by turning the wheels back and forth. Not in any pattern, just sometime one way sometimes the next. If I hit the gas pedal it will go away. As the engine warms it will go away but still come when you let off the gas and come to a stop. Never really sounds when you are on the gas.

Is it normal for Cold Start RPM to be 2000rpms. Seems High.

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it. Our local yard thinks they can track one down for $250. If they do not I will take your part if it is still availible.

about the noise you describe when the engine is cold or air temp is below 60 sound like is the IAC (Idle air control valve), and the noise is more like a foghorn, mine had the same problem, when I started the engine in the morning and turn the lights one it will make that sound also or when you move just a little the steering wheel or evrytime the rpms goes bellow 2000rpm, it use to make that noise from time to time, .... I was told on the forum to check the IAC, which I did and first I bought a throtle body spray cleaner and clean it out and took the noise for about 3 days after that the noise came back (just that this time was not that loud and was just once in a while, not like before), so I had to order a new IAC, and that was it the noise is gone.....
Sorry for my lng post, is just to let you know that is better to change it for a new one and dont do the work twice like me when I first cleaned it.

Hope this info helps
