Thanks to mazda 3, the competetion seems to be ever hotter. Toyota reveals its new Corolla for 2009, trying hard to match the Mazda3 with its XRS model (top of the line). Its front and orverall design, seems to me, has hints of the current mazda3. It certainly is no match to the mazdaspeed, you be the judge if the XRS is ever closer to the Mazda3 with 2.3L engine. (will be 2.5 in 2009?) Toyota plays games with the Corolla before, with a low starting price, and a long list of desired features on option.

nooooooo, the XRS will come with a 2.4L 158HP engine.

meh, the 2010 (or '09's) mazda3's will get a 2.0L engine, or a 2.5L engine making closer to 200 hp

That was just a model they made for SEMA, not the production model.

I don't know, but the the Corolla, is very clean and looks good. The 3 still looks good.

FUGLY....The 3 in it's current state is much more attractive.
