Hi all!, This is my first post, and the first time I have touched a Mazda, altho I have been working on cars for 30 years. I am stumped by this tho: I bought this '96 Millenia with a normally aspirated 2.5 litre dohc V6. It needed a timing belt, the one on it had slipped, (not broken). I have the engine torn down to the timing belt, and have installed new tensioners and idler pulleys. I am now lining up the crankshaft and the 2 camshafts in preparation to install my new timing belt. I set the crank on TDC, easy enuf, then set the left (rear) cam using the 2 little marks on the valve cover and the 2 little marks on the camshaft gear, easy enuf, but I cannot time the right (front) camshaft. I can see the mark on the cam gear for TDC, but to what do I line this mark up with? There is no timing mark on the valve cover, and none embossed on the cylinder head, as far as I can see. Help! Does anyone know how to time this cam? Thanks in advance! Kelly in Atlanta
