Is there any reliable info re Mazda's plans to produce the RX8 with a soft top? My wife & I will soon be ready to move on from our Audi TT Roadster but that move will be to another open car only (& not a Miata, thanks).

i havent even seen a concept ragtop of the RX8...so i dont know of any validity to this rumor...

IM NOT SURE OF THE REASON ...PROLLY BECAUSE THE AMOUNT OF VEHICLES THAT WOULD SELL AS A CONVERTABLE WOULD BE "LOW"

BUT YES..IT WOULD LOOOK SWEEEEEET AS A RAGTOP!

My understanding is that the RX8 structure does not easily lend itself to a convertible version. However, in a magazine currently on the newstand, it states that there will soon be a new version of the RX7 and a drawing is offered. They say that the new RX7 would be a truer sports car, a two seater, a turbo-charged model would come later, as well as a convertible. The car would apparently re-establish Mazda in the real sports car business! Is all this true? Your guess is as good as mine.
