I have notifed my Mazda dealer that this piece of junk they sold me is going back to them as the warning light has come on for the 4th time in 2200 miles. This will happen on Tuesday morning. So, I will be seeking every cent that I am entitled to under the California lemon law. Will keep you all posted and by the way, Alpha Wolf, you seem like the type whose ego is so big that you duck under doorways that are ten feet tall. You seem to have a problem when people don't agree with you. Cheers.

It has nothing to do with ego... People are free to disagree with me anytime. Do not expect intelligent persons to go along with your flawed comparisons. I just commented that you did not do sufficent homework before your purchase, you seem to have trouble operating it and your first post on the forum was to go on what a POS our cars are. Instead of asking us about its good and bad points before your purchased one. As I have said the Fit seems more like a car you can live with. So the best of luck with your lemon law refund. I hope you have contacted their forums about that car before you purchased it so you are aware of anything which might upset you

Lemon law will kick in if you have the same defect causing the CEL to come on. The CEL can come on for any number of reasons (including not fully screwing in the gas cap.) That's not necessarily a reason for lemon law. Not sure if you're entitled to a red cent. Please sell your CX-7....I agree that you bought completely the wrong vehicle if what you are looking to replace the CX-7 with is the Fit.

You people make me chuckle. There is no amount of research that anyone can do that will prevent them from purchasing a vehicle that is a lemon. By now most of you have received your recall notices that address the issues that earned my CX-7 the title of lemon. And no, I never put 87 octane in my Mazda. As for flawed comparisons, it is intelligent people who are able to see that so called flawed comparisons are in fact not at all flawed. My preference for a Honda Fit lies in its incredible design, efficiency and QUALITY, quality being a term that I would associate with Mazda only if it is preceeded by the word inferior. I do agree that the CX-7 is fun to drive......especially when it is not in the shop.

Now that Consumer Reports has given the CX-7 a HORRIBLE RATING maybe some of you dimwits should apologise to this Powerharp fellow. You surely know that a vehicle model with a poor reliability rating from CR is the kiss of death for resale value. I tested one and like the way it drove, but I'm willing to sacrifice some performance for reliability. A fast car sitting in the shop is not a fast car at all. Cheers!

Funny thing I wonder why they did that as my car has not had any actual problems. I have had TSBs done to improve driving. Never had a single CEL even with the original gas cap on etc... Turn the key and go. I do not buy cars for resale. Freaking Newbeetles have high resale and are maintenance nightmares $2,000 a year just to keep my old one running in good shape. But it has good ratings and resale???? My son removed it (totaled it) for me as my wife would not hear of selling that POS. Then the air bags and shoulder harness failed to work! Nice I keep my vehicles for a long while so I am more conserned with driving experience and reliablitiy and function. I have had no problems with the car. So I really wonder if they based that on TSB trips versus actual problems. I saw they listed fuel system as the major problem. CEL due to gas cap? One has to wonder as no one on any CX7 forum I belong to has has a fuel issue that was not caused by the gas cap not being on correctly or by overmodifying their engine without an ECU mod to stop the fuel cut.
