Guys, I have a 1991 Miata with 180,000 miles. Everything is fine with the car except the Airbag light continue to flash all the time intermittently.
What does this mean and what do you recommend I do without spending a lot of money going to the dealership??

Thanks in advance..

Will check the number, but at times it will flash continously until motor is turned off. Sometimes it does not come on at all.

Hixx, sorry that I took so long to reply to you.
The number of flashes that I counted was six (6).
Hope that will help.
Thanks in advance... Dex.......

Code 6 is the module or the clockspring connector. Has the steering wheel been off the car before? If so they have to be properly clocked or it will damage them. More times than not it is the module though.

Is there a way to disconnect all of that stuff so that I'll not have to see that again. If I disconnect the fuse will that go away?
I really do want to spend anymore money on this vehicle.
The answer to your question is that the stairing wheel was never taken off.

I suppose with some creative wiring you could but simply removing the bulb will cause the CPU to beep the code which is even more anoying. A piece of black tape is the simplest solution. I would'nt feel right giving up the wiree to cut to eliminate it.
