I'm going to quote from another site and then drop the subject as I said i averaged a good 29 mpg on a 10 day long trip including 500 mile plus days with cruise control on interstates 80, 70, 15, and some very long 180 mi.+ empty Nevada roads and i stand by that figure. from a web site >>>>"What gas mileage should a rotary get? On the street, less than 12 MPG is uncommon, as is more than 30 MPG. Far more typical is the 16-24 MPG range, as few drive a whole tank at a time doing a particular type of driving. Pure interstate cruising generally means 24-30 MPG, depending on model, tire pressure, drafting, open windows, A/C, and cruising speed. Pure city traffic generally means 14-17 MPG, less if it also means very short trips running a high percent with the engine not yet warmed up, much less in very cold winter weather in northern climes. 18-20 MPG as an overall average is very common."<<<<< Thumbnail Image
