Thinking of buying an 07 Miata Grand Touring.  The question I have ( since I have not test driven one as of yet) is the car comfortable for tall drivers?  I am 6'2" and don't want a cramped cockpit.  Any advice would be appreciated.

I am six foot tall and have the MX5 Grand Touring Hard top convertible and it is very comfortable. Yet,I have not been on any long trips, which could prove to be a diffrent story. But I would look at the mpg I am getting before you purchase it. See Gas Milage!

Thanks for the reply.  Seems as if the gas mileage isnt the greatest....at least in your car.  Am sorry for that....you dont expect to  buy this type of car without at least getting in the 20's for gas mileage.  Are you going to lemon law the car?   Have they changed the filters etc. on the car?
Back to the size issue...do you feel your car may have more or less room since it is the hardtop conv?  I was considering a canvas top myself...would that make a difference?  I love the hardtop conv. dont get me wrong but have sort of a soft spot for the canvas tops.....you know what I mean.
Again, good luck with your car and I do hope things can be worked out for you.  Sounds as if you like the car otherwise which is good.        Kent

Finally getting around to test driving one this coming Saturday.  It is a gray grand touring with brown top....must admit that combination is nice looking.  Hopefully I fit into the darn thing and we can come up with some kind of  deal.  This summer is flying by and if we wait much longer the car will have to be stored because its winter already.  Oh how I hate winter!!   If anyone has any comments on how they like their Miatas please feel free to post them.   Have heard nothing but good about these little roadsters.

Thanks Irishwake for writing.  I am going to drive this one today and see how I like it and also how the "better half:" likes it then make a decision on whether to pursue or not.   What is the color of your car?  options?  how much do you want?  Thanks for the info.............Kent

Irishwake...thanks for the info and I do appreciate you getting back to me.  BUT, I  bought the one I drove on Saturday...he gave me a pretty good deal and I do really like the car.  The nice thing was it fit me just right even thoug I am tall.  Also, I like the color combo of the gray and brown top with saddle seats.  Very attractive car.  Good luck in selling your car ....you have a fair price on it and if I hadnt found this one it may have been a possibility.   Supposed to be a great weekend coming up so the better half and I are going up to the lake with the Miata....top down of course!!
