If  may chime in here...?
KUDOs for removing the headlight tint.  Bad idea all around.  I tried it many years ago and it came off in less than a week just for the reason you stated.  Now, think of the ppl behind you and how they must view darkened taillights.  I would suggest for safety's sake that you do not consider re-tinting the tails.
CFHoods?  A memeber of our local chapter has a red P5 with a CF, and imo it looks GREAT!!!  I love it!!
The 3's, especially the hatches, look like crap because of the drop downs that follow the front grille line.  If you do it, please paint it either all body color or part of it.  Perhaps just the front edge so that it will blend in w/the body lines of the car better.  Then you will have your "diet" and it will look much better, imo.

BTW: If you must tint the headlights, may I suggest the blue or yellow RockBlockers?  They look great and do not affect light output.
I have the blue on my white and love 'em.  But I warned Chris BEFORE I placed the order that if headlight output was compromised, that he would be refunding my money.
After a year, they are still on.

I pulled the tails off, and the front headlights, but left the refelctors, and fogs on. Just too little light coming off. I'm waiting on pics of a vented CF hood vs a stock OEM CF hood. Heatsoak is killing my car in 90+ deg days with 70% humidity and 1.5 hour drive home. I need to install the hood to see what needs to get painted. The only pic of one installed is on a black MS3 with a black CF hood. Not much help. Thanks for the input!

Well, how's this for a change of pace?  While my wife drives the stock silver Mazdaspeed 3 this is my daily ride.  Here are some specifications:

1989 Toyota 4Runner
Rebuilt 22RE with midrange cam (less than 2,000 miles on the motor)
Marlin Crawler Dual Ultimate Transfer case with stock 2.28 gears in the front and 4.7 gears in the rear
Twin Stick on the t-case allowoing high/low to be independent of 2wd/4wd
Differentials are 4.88 Yukon with a Detroil Locker rear and Aussie Locker front
35 inch tires on 15x10 steel wheels.
Solid Axle Swap (SAS) from my old 85 truck
Alcan custom springs that are soft and ride great.
Final Crawl Ratio is over 200:1, that about 10 mph in 5th gear @ 4,000 rpm
I'm getting about 18 mpg with combo driving and is safe to cruise on the highway.
