We have a 2005 Tribute with a factory installed tow package. It has a 4 way flat and we need to install a 7 way round for our trailer brake however, there is no room because of the undermount spare tire and bumper.
Did you drill through the bumper? That method was suggested. Another option was to fabricate a longer bracket, however it would then hang down past the tire with nothing to protect it from road hazards.
Any suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks.
